Yoga + Food + Community

$0.00

Wanna come over to play? We'll do yoga, eat a lovely meal, and you'll make a new friend or two. Fun, right?

During our two hours together, we’ll do a 45 minute yoga class, a wee bit of meditation, and then enjoy some cookbook recipes. All three parts should leave you feeling nourished in all senses of the word. We’ll move our bodies, we’ll quiet our minds, we’ll eat food as cozy as a warm blanket, and, unless six friends all sign up together, potentially make a new pal.

Please plan on bringing your own yoga mat and any blocks or yoga straps you may own. This casual event will take place at home in the Bayshore area of Milwaukee or at a fitness studio on the east side. Address will be shared with attendees as we get closer to the event.

Session 1: Wednesday, October 29th 5 - 7 pm - Bayshore Area

This session will focus on the concept of the “peaceful warrior”. Our yoga practice will be around this pose, but also we’ll consider what we’re battling these days. Dinner will include soup, salad, and dessert. Tea, wine, and sparkling water (okay, and Diet Coke) will be available, too.

Session 2: Sunday, November 2nd 9 - 11 am - Bayshore Area

As this will be our first morning with (or without?? IDK how this works) Daylight Savings Time, we’ll focus on well, focus when everything is topsy-turvy. Our physical practice will include a quicker pace, where we’ll figure out how to keep our minds right when there is so much (too much?) to take in. Brunch will include fresh baked pastries, an egg dish of some sort, fresh fruit, and smoothies.

Session 3: Sunday, November 9th 10 am - Noon - Eastside Fitness Studio

This class will be easy like Sunday morning should be. A nice slow flow class will work out the kinks and have us holding some poses so we feel extra strong as we look towards a fresh week. As for food, I’m picturing a bunch of baked goods and a fresh fruit salad. I’ll bring some hot tea but bring your own coffee if that’s more your vibe.

There are mats, blocks, and straps at this gym but feel free to bring your own.
